Lot 9A - Adding a new recreational dimension
Part of Trilogy's largest land holding in Cumberland, Lot 9A will bring the excitement of a nine-hole golf course to Cumberland, adding to the variety of recreational choices that the Village already offers. The pursuit of the perfect game will bring a slightly older demographic to the Village on a regular basis, to join the (generally younger) biking and BMX enthusiasts that already view Cumberland as a prime destination.

Lot 9A - Illustrative Concept Plan, May 2008
The zoning that Trilogy has been granted for interprets the land use very specifically as: "an area operated for the purpose of playing golf and may include accessory uses such as a driving range, clubhouse, low impact recreation areas, administrative offices, meeting rooms, retail pro shop, restaurant, banquet facilities, lounges, and other accessory uses necessary for the maintenance of the golf course".
While much of the landscape will be manipulated to create greens, holes, and sandtraps, all identified wetlands will be preserved. Building density is restricted to 2% of the total lot area.
Access to Lot 9A is proposed to be off Royston Road, next to Maple Creek. A large wooded buffer will separate the golf course activities from the eco-residential community on Lot 9B except where some portion of the greens may venture across the division between the lots to create a unique housing feature there.
