With Trilogy since its inception in 1991, Tom Johnston is the "behind the scenes" partner, with responsibility for Trilogy's financial and legal stewardship, and management services group activities.
On any given day, Tom is likely to be found on the telephone conferring with the senior officers for some of Canada's leading institutional real investment companies for whom Trilogy acts and invests. As well, his duties require that he confer with Trilogy's entire private investor and property management client base, as well as to direct the activities of Trilogy's corporate advisors including its lawyers, accountants and bankers.
With an MBA and real estate training from the University of British Columbia , together with prior experience in commercial banking, Tom is as passionate about real estate as he is about finance. Detail oriented, intuitive and diplomatic by nature, he leads the financial analysis, financial structuring, and legal negotiation for Trilogy's development programs, as well as the analysis for all acquisitions and dispositions being considered by the company.
Tom oversees Trilogy's property management group on a day-to-day basis, and guides all third-party leasing negotiations. As a testament to his "hands on"commitment to providing exceptional customer service, he personally attends virtually all Strata Corporation meetings for properties managed by Trilogy.
